Chocolate & Raspberry Protein Smoothie Bowl

INGREDIENTS


Smoothie Base

137g/ 1.5 frozen banana

115g frozen raspberries

110ml Unsweetened almond milk

35g Muscle Nation chocolate plant based protein from Supps42


Toppings

5g crushed peanuts

2g desiccated coconut

5g noshu sugar free white choc chips

5g noshu sugar free choc chips

10g frozen raspberries


METHOD

  1. Blend all base ingredients in a food processor.

  2. Scrape sides and continue to blend until smooth. Don't add additional liquid unless it is really required

  3. The base should be a thick smooth consistency

  4. Pour into bowl

  5. Add toppings!

Smoothie Bowl Tips

- Be careful as mentioned above to not add too much liquid. Be careful with your liquid and add less than you think - remember you can always add a touch more

if you need.

- Always use fresh fruit instead of frozen. Frozen fruit gives the right consistency, fresh will result in a soup like consistency

- FREEZING BANANAS -peel ripe and spotty bananas (brown spotty ones are the best as they have more flavour) and put them in a container or zip lock bag in chunks to freeze. Make sure you peel them, you will regret it!

- Always use ripe or over ripe fruit. Unripe fruit wont give a nice flavour and will give a chalky texture.

- Be careful not to blend for too long. Once you have achieved a smooth consistency thats enough. If you keep blending, it will begin to melt due to the heat created from blending.
